A deadly crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 80 in Berkeley is under investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported just before 3:30 p.m. Friday and shut down several lanes on westbound I-80 near the University Avenue exit. At least five vehicles were involved in the collision and one person was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP said.
There was no estimated time lanes would reopen and motorists were encouraged to use alternate routes…
