A tragic turn of events unfolded on Monday in Castro Valley when a child perished in a vehicle accident after the car struck a power pole and overturned. The California Highway Patrol reported that at around 4:20 p.m., a Honda Accord with a male juvenile passenger was traveling north on Palomares Road when it swerved off the road and collided with the obstacle. The car then flips into a tree, resulting in the young passenger’s death at the scene. The adult male driver was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.
