Two earthquakes strike off S.F. coast

Two earthquakes, magnitude 3.0 and 2.7, struck off the coast of San Francisco in quick succession on Saturday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquakes, which struck at 4:39 and 4:41 p.m., were centered in the Pacific Ocean, about 2 miles southwest of the San Francisco Zoo, according to the USGS.
