Oakland police arrests 2 people after Bay Bridge takeover

Two people were arrested and up to 60 dirt bikes and quads were impounded following a Bay Bridge takeover on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said a group of dirt bikers and ATVs crossed the Bay Bridge westbound to San Francisco. Shortly after, they crossed the bridge once again, this time eastbound.

Authorities said a contingent of officers from CHP San Francisco, CHP Oakland and Oakland police stopped traffic to detain the riders. The riders attempted to run away, leaving their dirt bikes and ATVs behind, according to officials…
