Bay Area authorities seek help identifying woman killed by Amtrak train

Bay Area authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman who was killed by an Amtrak train earlier this year in Port Costa, officials said Monday.

The woman was struck on Feb. 16 and pronounced dead near the tracks, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division. The death was later ruled a suicide. The incident was investigated by Amtrak police and the sheriff’s office.
