Utz Quality Foods has voluntarily recalled several varieties of Zapp’s and Dirty potato chips sold nationwide after the company was told that a seasoning ingredient used in the chips may contain salmonella.
The chips are sold in Bay Area grocery stores and delis, though the recall applies to products distributed nationwide.
The recall affects select bags of Zapp’s Bayou Blackened Ranch, Salt and Vinegar and Big Cheezy chips, as well as Dirty Salt and Vinegar, Maui Onion and Sour Cream and Onion chips, according to a company announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration…
