Motorcyclist on bicycle trail had hidden license plate: SJPD

(KRON) — One of three motorcyclists accused of riding illegally on a bicycle trail in south San Jose last weekend was intentionally hiding his license plate, said the San Jose Police Department.

SJPD said patrol officers spotted the group of motorcyclists on the trail, who fled the area when police tried to approach them. The aforementioned suspect was detained, had his motorcycle impounded and was arrested and booked into Santa Clara Main Jail.

Police are using the incident to remind people that riding motorcycles on trails and bicycle paths is prohibited in San Jose.

“Although we love seeing people utilize our public trails for some fresh air and exercise, we do not love seeing people breaking the law,” added police in a social media post on Tuesday.

The potential charges faced by the suspect are not yet known…
