Tri-Valley REACH commemorated the start of construction on its second accessory dwelling unit in Pleasanton with a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this summer. The new ADU will be located on a REACH-managed property on Tanager Drive.
Tri-Valley REACH is a nonprofit offering affordable housing to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ADUs, being self-contained homes within an existing residential property, can provide people with I/DD a way to live more independently.
Representatives from Alameda County and Bridgetown Construction joined REACH Executive Committee members for the celebration July 24. The new ADU, expected to be completed in early 2027, spans 792 square feet and features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with shared kitchen, living and dining spaces.
