Bay Area grocery store owned by Raley’s to close after nearly 6 decades

After nearly 60 years in business, the Nob Hill Foods grocery store in Los Gatos is expected to permanently close next June.

The closure comes after Nob Hill Foods’ parent company, Raley’s, decided not to renew the store lease after reviewing the store’s performance and current economic conditions, Carol Barsotti, chief marketing officer, told SFGATE by email. Barsotti did not respond to follow-up questions regarding specific details on the store’s performance.
