(KRON) — One of the restaurants in San Jose’s bustling Eataly Silicon Valley food facility has been shut down due to vermin. Terra Restaurant and Bar on Eataly’s third floor had its health permit suspended for vermin contamination on Friday, KRON4.com has confirmed.
The County of Santa Clara Environmental Health agency said it investigated the entire Eataly facility after receiving a public complaint. The investigation, the agency said, did not reveal evidence of rodents, but did find evidence of vermin on the third floor.

Terra was ordered closed as a result of the inspection and will only be allowed to reopen when a follow-up inspection is conducted and all violations have been resolved.
Environmental Health told KRON4 that Terra management confirmed with inspectors that it had completed pest control services, was thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the facility, and discarding potentially contaminated food.
“Once the restaurant has resolved all open items from the inspection report, they can request a reinspection and reopen for business,” the agency said…
