The dog was rescued successfully, and no one was injured, according to SJFD. However, the family and their dog have been displaced and an adjacent unit, which was undergoing a remodel, sustained heavy damage.
Occupants of the adjacent unit had been preparing to move back into the unit once the remodel was complete. Now, they will be unable to do so, according to fire officials.
