Suspected serial cigarette robbers nabbed after thefts from multiple California liquor stores

In a response to a convenience store robbery on Central Ave, Fremont Police Officers successfully apprehended three suspects involved in a series of robberies in the area.

The incident unfolded on January 22, 2024, at around 10:43 p.m. when two masked individuals stormed a local convenience store, threatening clerks and making off with cigarettes.

Quick action by the police led to a pursuit of the suspect vehicle, ultimately resulting in a collision near Central Ave and Cedar Blvd in Newark, police said.

The suspects attempted to flee on foot, but officers from both Fremont and Newark Police Departments managed to capture all three individuals. The suspects were identified as Zocari Randy Hicks, Warren Christopher Rodgers Jr, and Keotis King Patterson, police said.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed stolen goods, including a bag filled with numerous cartons of cigarettes believed to be taken from other convenience stores in the region.
