San Jose police officer shot armed suspect, 2 people hospitalized

SAN JOSE, Calif. ( KRON ) – An individual accused of shooting a person was shot by an officer, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. at the 7-Eleven in the 4200 block of Senter Road. San Jose PD received multiple calls regarding a shooting in the area.

Police told KRON4 that the suspect who was shot, stuck someone with gunfire prior to the officers arrived. According to San Jose PD, the victim in the first shooting was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear why the officer shot the suspect.
