••• The Architectural Board of Review’s June 8 agenda includes a revamp of 214 and 220 Anacapa Street in the Funk Zone (currently the site of Zaca Coffee‘s trailer) into two spaces, one of which is labeled a coffee shop and the other of which is labeled “taco restaurant.” No word yet on who might take the new spaces. Opening a taqueria across from Mony’s would be a bold move—which increases the odds that Mony’s is planning to move.
