Gusty Santa Ana winds whip across SoCal, increasing wildfire concerns

Gusty Santa Ana winds are whipping up across Southern California, especially in higher elevations where they could create treacherous driving conditions and increase the concern for wildfires.

Gusts are especially strong in Fontana Friday afternoon, approaching the 35-45mph range and spreading up into Ventura, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties.

A Wind Advisory is in place until 2 p.m. throughout much of Southern California, with the exception of the coastal communities, much of the Los Angeles Basin and portions of the San Gabriel Valley.
