Santa Maria man sentenced for beating teenage Chick-fil-A employee with a brick

A 31-year-old Santa Maria man has been sentenced to prison for beating a teenage Chick-fil-A employee in the head with a brick, authorities announced Thursday.

A Santa Barbara County judge sentenced the man, identified as Clayton Peavey, to seven years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon and admitting he personally inflicted great bodily injury, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
