For nearly 30 years, one of Wine Country’s pioneering farm-to-table restaurants, the Girl & the Fig, has been a destination for tourists and locals seeking its hearty French-inspired fare in a warm, old-world setting.
Now, the team behind the Girl & the Fig is breaking away from its hallmark cuisine and homespun style with Dead Letter, a sleek new restaurant that’s catty-corner from its popular spot on the Sonoma Plaza and inside what was once one of the first post offices in California.
Focused on fish and charcoal grilling, Dead Letter is “a more modern and upscale Wine Country approach than what Sonoma currently has to offer,” co-founder John Toulze said.
