Santa Rosa: Extended Road Closures, Dui Enforcement Due To Cinco De Mayo

With a large part of Sebastopol Road closed for Santa Rosa’s popular Cinco de Mayo celebration in Roseland, the Santa Rosa Police Department is reminding the community of extended road closures, as well as DUI enforcement activities.

Sebastopol Road will be closed to vehicles between Dutton Avenue and West Avenue until 6 a.m. Monday, police said. Northbound and southbound traffic on Dutton Avenue is not affected, but no westbound traffic onto Sebastopol Road will be allowed.

Vehicles can turn west on Sebastopol Road from West Avenue, and south on West Avenue from Sebastopol Road. Only eastbound traffic on Sebastopol Road from West Avenue is prohibited, police said.

Motorists are asked to use alternative routes through the area.

Additionally, additional DUI enforcement teams are working Sunday night to ensure a safe day of celebration for all, police said.

Celebrants who plan on drinking tonight are reminded to designate a driver, take a taxi, or use a ride-share service.
