Woman dies from road rage crash in Santa Rosa: CHP

( KRON ) — A traffic fatality shut down roads in Santa Rosa on Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol in Santa Rosa confirmed with KRON4.

According to CHP, the crash occurred in front of a popular pumpkin patch on Stony Point Road at the Rohnert Park Expressway at around 2 p.m.

Highway officials confirmed with KRON4 that a woman sitting in the front seat of the car died due to the crash.

According to CHP, two southbound cars were having a road rage incident when one of the cars drove into the other lane, crashing into and killing the woman driving northbound.

A child and a man were also present in the woman’s car. CHP said the two survived. One of the two road rage drivers, according to CHP, fled the scene after the crash. No arrests have yet been made, CHP said.

At about 7:15 p.m., CHP said all roads around the expressway reopened.
