Santa Rosa residents rally to save 70-foot redwood tree

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) — In the North Bay, more than a hundred people are coming together to save a beloved redwood tree. The neighbors signed a petition to demand that the City of Santa Rosa not cut it down. Those concerns were heard on Monday.

The redwood tree in question is hard to miss and so is the sidewalk lifted above its roots.One neighbor’s petition to save it is gaining major support.
