This North Bay family has given away more than 300 cars to people in need

The Crozat family of Santa Rosa has spent decades turning business success into acts of generosity.

Family patriarch Gene Crozat opened C&G Auto Body in 1972. As the business grew, Crozat, who died in 2016, made it his mission to share that success with others in need.

“He started going to the local car mart right across the street, buying cars on Saturdays,” said his son, Patrick Crozat. “He worked with local radio stations and insurance agents to find people in need, and it just grew from there.”

The effort has not only continued over the past decade but expanded significantly. To date, the Crozat family has given away 319 vehicles to people who otherwise could not afford one.

On a recent Thursday, the Crozats partnered with the Auto Body Council and Allstate Insurance to donate six cars to people selected from a pool of applicants…
