There are almost too many questions about the Florida’s Legislature’s passing of a bill to cut non-school homesteaded property taxes to expect answers.
The tax cut referendum will be on the November ballot for all voters to have say on.
Specifically, voters will decide whether to approve the amendment that would raise the homestead property tax exemption. The homestead exemption would go up from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027, and then up to $250,000 in 2028. Thereafter, inflation will be taken into account for potential future increases…
