SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Volunteers returned to the Old Memphis Cemetery this weekend to repair damage left by vandals last month and restore a piece of community history.
The cemetery was vandalized May 12. Volunteers have worked since then to restore the site.
“There’s a story to tell about this graveyard… it goes back a long time,” said Nepleon Harris, a resident who has visited his brother at the cemetery every week for the past 50 years…
