Tampa, St. Pete employees among 178 laid off with home health company closure

Southeast Homecare Services is laying off 178 employees across Florida, including 35 in the Tampa Bay market.

The company, which provides home health services and is tied with another service provider in Miramar, announced the job cuts in a June 18 letter sent to six local leaders to meet federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act requirements.

In the letter, the company says the job cuts come as it permanently closes four Southeast Homecare entities: Southeast Home Care LLC in Doral and Fort Lauderdale; Alborada Home Health of Tampa Inc. in Tampa and St. Petersburg; Infinity Home Health Care of Florida Inc. in Jacksonville; and MIA Home Health Care Services Inc. in Orlando…
