Caught On Camera: Helmet-Wearing Burglar Arrested After Trashing Sarasota Lounge

SARASOTA, Fla. – A Sarasota woman is in custody following an early morning break-in that left a local lounge with thousands of dollars in damage. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kara Jane Rose Plocharsky, 31, today on one count of burglary.

The incident began just before 4:00 a.m. on June 4th, when deputies responded to an active alarm at the 8 Ball Lounge, located at 3527 Webber Road. The first deputies to arrive on the scene discovered that the establishment’s front glass door had been shattered.

Law enforcement officers quickly established a perimeter around the area, and a K-9 team searched the building but found no one inside.

Detectives later reviewed the establishment’s surveillance footage to identify the suspect. The video showed a female wearing a motorcycle helmet shattering the front door to gain entry. Once inside, she walked directly to the bar area and pushed dozens of liquor bottles off the top of the bar…
