Change in flight paths blamed for more jet noise

VENICE — It appears that the culprit behind a reported increase in jet traffic over the Golden Beach and Gulf Shores neighborhoods may have been identified: the Federal Aviation Administration.

City Council Member Ron Smith said at Tuesday’s meeting that several pilots had reached out to him about a change in the flight path for aircraft taking off on runway 13-31 heading north.
