Man arrested after fentanyl investigation chase ends in business crash

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A man is in custody after detectives said he fled during a fentanyl-related narcotics investigation, nearly struck a pedestrian and crashed into a local business.

Joshua Yarn was the subject of an active narcotics investigation when detectives attempted to take him into custody, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said Yarn fled in a gray Toyota RAV4, striking an undercover sheriff’s vehicle before driving north on a pedestrian sidewalk in front of a shopping plaza.

A woman on the sidewalk was forced to jump onto a short retaining wall and into nearby bushes to avoid being hit, detectives said…
