Oneco’s Johnson Helm House becomes first Manatee County historic landmark

The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners’ designation of the Johnson Helm House as a historic landmark marks a milestone in the county’s 13-year-old local historic preservation program.

The Johnson Helm House in Oneco, built between 1906 and 1908 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 2009, is the first historic landmark under the county process.
