SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Suncoast will see a transition day setting up today. There is a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms this morning, with more storms developing inland during the afternoon. Winds will be a bit variable as they shift to establish tomorrow’s east wind pattern.
Tomorrow brings a more familiar summertime setup, with storms becoming more numerous during the afternoon and evening. The east wind pattern will favor the storms building inland in the afternoon and drifting toward the Gulf by later in the day.
By late week, winds turn more southerly and southwesterly, bringing the possibility of showers and storms near the coast during the morning before activity shifts inland during the afternoon. Highs will generally remain in the upper 80s to low 90s, with plenty of humidity…
