Manatee County to replace seawall with living shoreline at Bishop Point Park

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County plans to replace the aging seawall at Bishop Point Park with a living shoreline project designed to strengthen the waterfront and create habitat for wildlife.

The county’s Natural Resources Department said the project will use native vegetation, natural materials and other nature-based features along the water.
