Sarasota hit-and-run that killed mom, young sons heads to trial

A trial date has been set for a 73-year-old Sarasota woman in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in February 2025 which killed a 29-year-old mother and her two young children, court records show.

June Fenton is now expected to face a jury trial in early December, almost two years after she was arrested and charged with three counts of hit and run involving death.

Taeler Joy Bennett, 29, was critically injured in the crash, while her two sons, 2-year-old Rio Galliher and 5-month-old Kiylan Galliher, were killed while crossing the street with her, Sarasota Police officers said…
