MANATEE, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County Utilities customers in unincorporated Manatee County will soon have a new option for getting rid of large household items. Beginning Friday, May 1, 2026, the county is launching a Bulk Collection Pilot Program that expands curbside bulk pickup.
Under the pilot program, residential customers can place up to two bulk items at the curb once per month on a scheduled, zone-based collection day, for a total of 12 collections per year. The county says there are no rate changes at this time.
Residents can look up their assigned day using the county’s Resident Information Tool and by checking the bulk collection information page at mymanatee.org/bigbin.
