SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – County leaders are delaying a vote on a major waterfront property purchase, pushing for more answers before moving forward with the project.
The Stickney Point Plaza sits on the mainland side of the South Bridge to Siesta Key. County commissioners voted to buy the property from its current owner, Big Main Street LLC, in February as part of a $21.36 million project. It would create a public park with waterfront access.
