About 80 customers of the city’s utilities department are under a boil-water order for 48 hours, following a pipe break at Floyd Street and Tuttle Avenue.
The Arlington Park Neighborhood Association posted around 2 p.m. that the break had been repaired, though city officials said the 12-foot deep hole around the repair site was still being backfilled and the roadway patched. In a social media post, Sarasota Police said the incident was caused by a contractor.
