Clouds build today but rain chance stays small

This morning starts quiet across the Suncoast area, with clouds, mild temperatures in the mid-70s, and a slight chance of patchy fog. By afternoon, highs will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s, and it will feel hotter. A few showers or thunderstorms may develop later, mainly inland.

Tonight into Tuesday brings the best chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a weak front moves south. The highest rain chances will be inland, mainly in the afternoon and evening. It is possible that some of the rain inland could be heavy, especially as it moves to the east, away from the coast. Temperatures stay above normal, with highs near 89 to 92 and lows in the low to mid-70s…
