SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A cold front is on the move through the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. Less thunderstorm activity is expected today as it moves in from the north and pushes towards Florida this evening. I’m watching for possible gusty storms along and near the Altamaha this afternoon/early evening. It’ll be 72° at 8:26pm sunset.
Behind the front, considerably cooler air will be in place overnight. Lows are forecast to fall into the low to mid 50s away from the coast, and that’s about 10° below normal. Dewpoints will only be in the upper 40s to 50s at the beaches.
Wednesday: 60° in Savannah, 53° in Sylvania, and 63° at the beaches with mostly sunny skies, afternoon highs struggle to mean 80 degrees and cool NE breeze at 10-15mph…
