SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – As high pressure continues to shift offshore today, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds across the region. While cloud cover will continue to increase, temperatures will still climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s this afternoon. Combined with rising humidity, it will feel more like the middle 90s in many locations.
The hot and humid pattern sticks around Monday with highs once again reaching the lower 90s. We’ll also see a slight chance for a stray afternoon or evening thunderstorm. That isolated storm chance remains in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday as hot and humid conditions continue.
By the end of the week, moisture increases a bit more, leading to a higher chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms from Thursday through Saturday. Even with those rain chances, temperatures will remain above average, with highs continuing to reach the lower 90s.
At this time, we’re not expecting any widespread severe weather, but as we head through the workweek, be sure to keep an eye on the sky for any developing afternoon storms…
