PORT ROYAL, S.C. (WTOC) – A drill instructor assigned to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island was found dead at a residence Friday in Port Royal.
According to the Marine Corps, 25-year-old Sgt. Darilyn C. Duong was assigned to the Recruit Training Regiment, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion.
Duong was was from Winnebago, Nebraska and her awards and decorations included the National Defense Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two awards, the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with two awards and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal…
