SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Savannah Police Department (SPD) Community Engagement Division and the Savannah Impact Program have announced that they will host their annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The Back to School Bash provides kids with free book bags and other school supplies for the upcoming school year. The book bags will be distributed on-hand by SPD officers on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The event will be held simultaneously at two separate locations for the east and west sides of Savannah. The Savannah Impact Program building, located at 2005 Waters Ave., and SPD Central Precinct, located at 1710 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd will be the sites for the bash…
