Hundreds of speed warning issued during first week of school, Savannah PD official says

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Over 600 warning citations were issued within the first week of school for drivers caught by cameras speeding in school zones, a Savannah Police spokesperson reported Friday.

Students headed back to school on Aug. 3, but only warnings were issued during the first two weeks. From Aug. 3-Aug. 7, 606 warnings were reported.
