Quiet morning, afternoon downpours return

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – We’ll warm to the mid 80s by lunchtime followed by highs near 90 degrees.

Isolated downpours will be possible once again this afternoon into the early evening. The severe threat is not as high today, but a strong storm or two will still be possible. The primary focus will be on lightning and localized flooding with some areas receiving a quick 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.

Thursday beach forecast: Wave heights will range from 1 to 3 feet with a low risk for rip currents. The UV index will be very high with a few storms possible this afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s with wind from the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour…
