SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Erosion along a roadway leading to Fort McAllister State Park is getting extra attention from the Georgia Department of Transportation. The state says the road is safe right now, but the Ogeechee River continues to eat away at the embankment.
GDOT is now designing a new bridge to provide a long-term fix.
