SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A 28-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection to a deadly shooting on Dec. 17.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Tayquan G’Mel Lampkin with attempted murder, two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He’s considered the second suspect in the case.
SLED agents also charged Andrew Lee Grober on Jan. 26 with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The charges stem from a shooting on Dec. 17 at Riverwalk Boulevard in Ridgeland that resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries.
According to officials, Lampkin got into a physical fight between two rival groups of people in the parking lot of 51 Riverwalk Boulevard, which is in front of the Okatie Dance Studio.
During the fight, Lampkin allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple times in the direction of the victims.
Officials said the incident was caught on the surveillance cameras of a nearby business and several witnesses identified the defendant as the person on camera shooting toward the victims.
