SAVANNAH. Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah turned into a sea of emerald on Friday, and an iconic local ice cream shop got into the spirit in a milky way.
Leopold’s has put their own spin on the Savannah tradition, turning their classic vanilla shake green yet again. Though tradition initially began back in 1966, the greening wasn’t held every year until recently.
This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Martin Hogan was on hand today for the “greening of the milkshake.”
Leopold’s on Broughton Street will be serving up the green shakes until St. Patrick’s Day on March 17…
