BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has arrested one individual in connection with a series of residential burglaries that occurred in northern Beaufort County.
On March 25, 2026, BCSO took Dante Doray Capers, 27, of Burton, into custody on four counts of burglary in the first degree.
According to BCSO, the charges are connected to an investigation regarding multiple burglaries between Jan. 31 and Feb. 2. During that time, at least nine homes were broken into in areas ranging from Lady’s Island to St. Helena Island.
Surveillance footage from several of the affected homes captured images of the suspects, which assisted investigators in advancing the case. Items reported stolen include liquor, power tools, firearms, and other valuables…
