Memorial joins NICU trial to improve care for premature infants

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A major step forward in neonatal care will be underway Tuesday as Memorial Health becomes one of only three hospitals in the nation participating in a new clinical trial focused on improving outcomes for premature infants.

The study centers on a next-generation feeding tube system designed to make feeding safer and more precise in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The technology is now being introduced inside Memorial Health’s NICU, where physicians are preparing to evaluate its potential impact on patient care.
