Overnight fire damages multiple homes, leaves 6 displaced

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — An overnight fire at a Georgetown residence left six people displaced after damaging multiple homes.

At 2:02 a.m., multiple units from the Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a house fire on Leeward Drive that was damaging nearby homes. According to authorities, over 40,000 gallons of water were used while extinguishing the fire, which was declared out at 3:21 a.m.

Six residents were displaced from three different homes. Firefighters rescued three kittens during their response to the incident…
