Storm Team 3: More chances for rain throughout the week ahead

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Monday afternoon was mostly cloudy and cool for the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.

While conditions overnight will gradually clear out, more clouds and a few showers are possible for Tuesday afternoon.

High temperatures on Tuesday will warm into the mid to upper 80s with a mix of clouds and sunshine. A few isolated showers are possible during the afternoon and into the early evening.

A strong northeast to southeast breeze will set up for Tuesday. Wildfire smoke will not be an issue for Savannah or other coastal communities as large fires continue to burn in Brantley County.

Burn bans remain for Georgia and South Carolina despite showers and storms in the local forecast. Drought conditions will need to improve before they will be lifted.

More rain is possible on Wednesday and Thursday as the next frontal boundary moves in from the west. Some rain may be heavy at times which will be beneficial due to the drought and fire weather conditions that we have been experiencing…
