50-acre farm saved from fire thanks to quick response

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A local farmer nearly lost his livelihood Friday if not for the response by a local fire department and state agency that put out flames.

Bootleg Farm Co-Owner Richard Cowart stepped outside the morning of April 24 to find his front yard burning.
