Storm Team 3: Quiet Friday, rain & storms return Mother’s Day weekend

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Showers and storms were moving through the region for most of Thursday. While the strong to severe storms did not develop locally, it was a breezy and gusty day, which led to some sporadic power outages.

A quieter pattern will set up for Thursday night and for most of Friday. Overnight conditions will be partly to mostly cloudy and cool with low temperatures in the lower 60s.

Friday afternoon will become partly to mostly cloudy and warm. High temperatures will be slightly below normal in the upper 70s to lower 80s for most locations.

A few showers become possible in the early evening as some moisture begins to lift back northward over the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry with a warm front. However, scattered showers will become more numerous going into Saturday…
